Abstract: The interaction between adsorbed chloride ions and the surface of Mn₁ _– _x Mo_xO₂ ₊ _x·nH₂O anodes at pH < 6.0 (in the vicinity of the anode during the electrolysis of neutral chloride solutions) leads to electrode material degradation.
