Abstract: After grafting the N,N-dimethyl-N,N-diallylammonium chloride (DADMAC) polymer to low-density polyethylene (LDPE) using plasma, the polyethylene surface acquired wettability with water. The synthesized graft copolymer turned out to be bactericidal against gram-positive Staphylococcus aureus and gram-negative Escherichia coli.

Keywords: N,N-diallyl-N,N-dimethylammonium chloride, low-density polyethylene, plasma, graft copolymer, bactericide.
