Abstract: The first representatives of the previously unknown perfluoroalkyl(perfluoroaryl)iodonium salts [C_nF_{2n + 1}(Ar_F)I]Y were prepared by reaction of perfluorinated alkyliodine difluorides CnF_{2n + 1}IF2 with aryldifluoroborane C₆F₅BF₂ and on the complementary route from perfluorinated aryliodine difluoride C₆F5IF₂ and alkyldifluoroborane C₆F₁₃BF₂.
