Dimethylformamide undergoes molybdenum-mediated metathetical imido-deoxygenation with
ortho
-substituted by donor atoms

-sulfinylanilines affording formamidines;
N
-sulfinylamines undergo molybdenum-mediated condensation into sulfurdiimines.
