Abstract: The elemental phosphorus/strong bases systems are gaining a growing attention as halogen-free ‘green’ phosphorylating reagents enabling a great variety of alkenes, acetylenes, organic halides and oxiranes to be converted in one-pot procedures to inaccessible primary, secondary and tertiary phosphines and phosphine oxides.
