Abstract: ‘Hybrid’ fluorinated zwitterionic gemini surfactants have been shown to self-assemble in both organic and aqueous media thus being an example of ambidextrous amphiphiles. As a result of these properties, these compounds are attractive targets both from the academic standpoint and in industrial applications.
