Abstract: The reactions of the organozinc reagents [R₂Zn] (R = Ph, Mes; Mes = 2,4,6-trimethylphenyl) with white phosphorus followed by hydrolysis lead to selective formation of organophosphorus products with P–C and P–H bonds.
