Oxidation of a cysteinato ligand by peroxodisulfate in a water-methanol solvent

Abstract: The rate of peroxodisulfate oxidation of a cysteinato ligand in a water-rich binary solvent decreases with methanol content due to the preferential solvation of {Co(en)₂[SCH₂CH(COO)NH₂]}+.
