Abstract: The interaction of 2-pyridinecarboxaldehyde phenylhydrazone 1a with aryldiazonium chlorides furnished in complex mixtures, from which (E)-phenylhydrazones of 2-pyridylarylketones 3a–c were isolated as the main products.1
