Dilational viscoelasticity of the adsorption layers of hydrophobically modified chitosans

Abstract: Two-dimensional dilational rheology has been applied to a comparative study of the kinetics of structure formation in the adsorption layers of cationic polysoaps (alkylated chitosans) and dynamic associates (surfactant-polyelectrolyte complexes, SPECs) formed between a cationic polyelectrolyte (chitosan) and an anionic surfactant (SDS).
