Calorimetric and spectrophotometric study on the interaction of hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin with ascorbic acid

Abstract: Hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin forms a 1:1 molecular complex with ascorbic acid and exhibits slight affinity to the ascorbate anion in aqueous solutions, as found by calorimetry and UV spectrophotometry.
