Abstract: The interaction of 4,6-dichloro-5-nitropyrimidine 1 with 1-phenyl-3-methylpyrazol-5-one led to the 4,6-dipyrazolyl derivatives of 5-nitropyrimidine 2 and dipyrazolylmethane 3; 2-methylindole reacts with 1 to form diindolylmethane 4 and trisindolylmethane 5; 1,3-dimethylbarbituric acid displaces an indolyl residue in diindolylmethane 4 to form diheterylmethane 6.
