Abstract: Copper nanoparticles 3.8 –10.9 nm in size were synthesized in solid-phase membrane liposomes by a facile method of copper sulfate reduction with hydrazine. A change in the excess of hydrazine leads to the controlled formation of either Cu2O or Cu0 nanoparticles.

Keywords: copper nanoparticles, liposomal nanoreactors, transmission electron microscopy, nanoparticle tracking analysis.
