Abstract: The crystal structure of racemic propranolol hydrochloride was reinvestigated and the main supramolecular solid-state motif (infinite homochiral chains) was found. Changes in the size of the central anion are accompanied by substantial differences in crystal packing leading to a homochiral crystal lattice of racemic conglomerate.
