Abstract: The synthesis of enantiomerically pure non-proteinogenic bis and cyclic amino acids 3a,b and achiral amino acid 3c using chiral Ni^II complex 1 and α,α′-dibromo-o-xylene as a bifunctional agent of alkylation is presented.
