Abstract: The terminal velocity of a crack determines the reasonability of the application of classical or quantum approaches to the description of phenomena at the crack tip; an expression for the fractoemission intensity of crystals accounting the quantum character of energy transfer at the tip of a fast-moving crack was obtained.
