Abstract: Cycloalkylation of Ph₂P(O)CH₂CN 1 by α,ψ-dibromoalkanes under phase-transfer catalysis conditions (K₂CO₃/DMSO) proceeds diastereoselectively yielding (1RS,2RS)-1-(diphenylphosphoryl)-2-methylcycloalkane carbonitriles 2.
