Abstract: The treatment of a seco-carane-type β-chlorovinyl ketone with benzylidene aminoguanidine in boiling methanol in the presence of sodium bicarbonate results in the formation of a substituted 2-phenyl[1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidine.
