Abstract:
Dimethylglyoxime reacts with acetylene under pressure in the KOH–DMSO system to give 1-vinyl-2-[2′-(6′-methylpyridyl)]- pyrrole along with the expected products of the Trofimov reaction (
O
-vinyloxime, pyrrole and dipyrrole).
