Xenon difluoride–trimethylsilyl isocyanate–triflic acid as a new system for the amination of aromatic compounds

Abstract: In the title system, OCNXeOSO2CF3 is formed, which readily oxidises iodobenzene to PhI+–NCO –OTf. The direct amination of aromatic substrates is possible with the use of XeF2–Me3SiNCO–CF3SO3H.
