Abstract: Addition of H₂O (D₂O) to a Eu(btfa)₃ toluene solution enhances the luminescence intensity and lifetime of Eu(btfa)₃, a phenomenon due to the formation of associates Eu(btfa)₃·nH₂O [Eu(btfa)₃·nD₂O].
