Abstract: 3-O-2-Deoxy-α-D-glycosides of glycyrrhetic acid derivatives are stereoselectively synthesized via electrophilic glycosylation of triterpene alcohols by D-glucal and D-galactal acetates in the presence of anhydrous sulfonic acid cation exchange resins and lithium bromide.
