Synthesis of l-aryl-2-nitrodiazene 1-N-oxides

Abstract: l-Aryl-2-nitrodiazene 1-N-oxides were synthesized for the first time by nitration of the appropriate 2-acetyldiazene 1-N-oxides with nitronium salts; their structure was confirmed by an X-ray diffraction study.
