Abstract: A synthesis of 3-O-2-deoxy-α-glycosides of glycyrrhetic acid and allobetulin was carried out by electrophilic glycosylation of triterpene alcohols with D-glucal acetate in the presence of (sym-collidin)₂IClO₄.
