Abstract: A newly described enzymatically formed ω-hydroxy metabolite of hepoxilin A3 (HxA3) has been prepared via total synthesis involving polyacetylenic intermediates and Mitsunobu rearrangement of the intermediate putative ω-hydroxy metabolite of hepoxilin B3.
