Abstract: A new synthesis of the spiro[benzofuran-3,1’-cyclohexene] derivative 8, based on the condensation of p-benzoquinone 3 with 3-morpholino-6-ethoxycarbonylcyclohexen-2-one 5, under Nenitzescu reactions conditions, has been realized.
