Abstract: A new synthesis of 4-imino-4,5-dihydro-1,2,3-triazole 1-oxides and 4-amino-1,2,3-triazole 1-oxides is proposed; the title compounds were prepared by intramolecular cyclization of 1-(1’-cyanoalkyl)-3-aryl(heteroaryl)triazene 1-oxides by treatment with a base.
