Abstract:
Treatment of the carbene CpFel(CO){=CHS(CH2)2S} with LiBEt3H or photolysis of the alkyl CpFe{CHS(CH2)2S}(CO)2 results in a mixture of CpFe{η2-CHS(CH2)2S}(CO), containing a labile Fe—S bond, and a dimeric species, the tricyclic diferradithiacyclohexane[CpFe{CHS(CH2)2S}(CO)]2.
