Anhydrous thulium formate as a precursor for obtaining new phosphors

Abstract: The crystal structure and spectroscopic characteristics of anhydrous thulium formate synthesized by the reaction of thulium nitrate with formic acid are presented for the first time. The optical and luminescent properties of Tm(HCOO)3 are described.
