Synthesis of $\alpha$-CF$_3$-substituted $\gamma$,$\delta$-didehydro lysine derivatives

Abstract: An efficient and selective access to novel $\alpha$-CF$_3$-substituted $\gamma$,$\delta$-didehydro lysine derivatives and their phosphorus analogues has been developed via the Cu-catalyzed Mannich reaction of $\alpha$-amino $\alpha$-propargyl $\alpha$-trifluoromethyl carboxylates or phosphonates with different secondary amines and paraformaldehyde.
