Abstract: The nanosized supported copper phyllosilicate catalyst demonstrated remarkable effectiveness as a novel system for the hydrogenation of styrene oxide to produce 2-phenylethanol. This study highlights the unique properties of the copper phyllosilicate phase, which enhances the catalytic activity and contributes to the high selectivity to primary alcohol.

Keywords: primary alcohols, hydrogenation, copper phyllosilicate, heterogeneous catalysis, 2-phenylethanol, styrene oxide.
