Abstract:
The solid-state molecular structure of azido derivative of BODIPY was determined by a single-crystal X-ray diffraction; this compound was subjected to a CuI-catalyzed azide–alkyne cycloaddition with ethynyl-containing iodine cobalt bis(dicarbollides) to give the corresponding new 1,2,3-triazole conjugates. Their study by absorption– emission spectroscopy showed that the addition of a boron cluster weakened the fluorescence of the starting azido BODIPY.
