Abstract: The attachment of biotin to paclitaxel resulted in a conjugate capable of self-assembling under optimal conditions into spherical nanoparticles with a favorable size distribution and colloidal stability. These nanostructures specifically bind to the model receptor avidin, confirming their potential for both active and passive tumor targeting. Due to their low hemolytic activity, the conjugate nanoparticles can be considered a promising nanoformulation for paclitaxel delivery systems.
