Abstract:
Nucleophilic replacement of chlorine atoms in the bis-α-(benzil dioximate) iron(II) dichloroclathrochelate with o-aminothiophenol as an N,S-dinucleophile afforded a new monoribbed-functionalized cage complex with a six-membered N,S-fusing moiety. The product was characterized by elemental analysis, MALDI-TOF mass, UV-VIS, 1H and 13C{1H} NMR spectra, and by the single-crystal X-ray diffraction.
