Abstract: Dry reforming of lignin was carried out in the presence of a catalytic amount of iron introduced into lignin by impregnation with a solution of iron(III) nitrate. Organic products with low molecular weight have been obtained at lower temperatures, including aromatic, aliphatic and phenolic compounds.

Keywords: lignin, carbon-containing materials, carbon monoxide, dry reforming, iron catalyst.
