Abstract: It has been demonstrated that formamidinium–cesium polyiodides are facile reagents for converting metallic lead into perovskite at temperatures of 20–90 °C. For the first time, a tentative phase diagram of the [HC(NH2)2]I–I2 binary system was proposed, and sub- and supersolidus phase relations in the [HC(NH2)2]I–CsI–I2 ternary system were discussed.

Keywords: phase diagram, polyiodides, supersolidus, formamidinium, melt processing, hybrid perovskites.
