Role of oxides in the electrochemical dissolution of Pd and its alloys

Abstract: The dissolution of Pd, Pd–Pb and Pd–Cu electrodeposits proceeds predominantly from the surface free from chemisorbed oxygen. The strongest inhibiting effect of surface oxides is revealed in the dissolution of the mixed deposits.
