Abstract:
The results of numerical studies of the mixed convection of cold water flow (Prandtl number
$\rm{Pr}=11.59$) in a parallel plate channel with isothermal walls are reported. Grashof number $\rm{Gr}=3\cdot 10^4$, Reynolds number $\rm Re=10$, length-height ratio $l/d=40$ have been chosen. The calculations have been performed by using the method of control volume with the help of algorithm SIMPLER. In a horizontal channel heal transfer is largern than in inclined channels, and in inclined up channel heat transfer is larger than in inclined clown channel. The fluid flow in the vertical channels is strictly periodical. The spectral analysis of the oscillations showed complex nonperiodical flow in the inclined up channel. The resistance to the main flow is increased several times by increasing inclination angle from horizontal.
