Abstract:
Numerical model of magneto- and electrocaloric quasiregenerative refrigerators was developed. It is based on differential equations of continuity, Navie–Stokes, energy and heat conductivity, which describe unsteady hydrodynamics and coupled heat transfer processes in all refrigerator elements. Structure phase transition and dependence of thermophysical properties on temperature and external field strength is taken into account. Testing and comparison of numerical solution with experimental results confirmed that complex refrigerator processes are well fitted by developed model.
