Abstract:
Numerical simulation of asymptotic behavior of homogeneous isotropic turbulence for large time values has been made. Karman–Howarth closed equation is used for the description of the considered flow. The numerical solution is obtained by the collocation-grid method and by the finite-difference method with moving grids. The predicted results are compared with experimental data on decay of weak turbulence and analytic asymptotic solution by Loitsiansky–Millionshtchikov.
