Abstract:
The presented mathematical models and numerical algorithms serve for reproducing sonic (subsonic) gas blowouts from the ruptured pipeline and futher dispersion in the atmospheric boundary layer. The models are based on numerical solution of one-two dimensional differential equations of mass, momentum, energy conservation. Comparison with a number of experimental data was an evidence of models validity. Some results of numerical experiments of natural gas accidental blowouts from the pipeline are given as an illustration of the software practical usage for a safety analysis.
