On an improvement of the gas flow description via kinetically-consistent difference schemes

Abstract: The paper deals with the application of kinetically-consistent finite difference schemes for the simulation of the flows with Knudsen number $\approx0.01$, based on the usage of the piecewise constant distribution function.
