Stochastic modeling of $A+B_2$ reaction in a nonideal adsorbate layer on a catalyst surface. I: Influence of adsorbate mobility on the rate of elementary stages
Abstract:
An evolution of heterogeneous catalytical reaction $A+B_2$ is investigated by means of the stochastic method. It is shown that lateral interactions between adsorbed particles lead to formation of new phases in adsorbate layer on a catalyst surface and strongly influence on nonlinear dependences between mean characteristics of the reactional system. Effective energies of adsorption, desorption and reaction are found to be strongly dependent on mobility
of adsorbate particles. The rate of reaction $A+B_2$ increases with the rise of mobility.
