A comparison of some quasimonotonous shock-capturing finitedifference schemes on the basis of the Cauchy problem for one-dimensional linear transfere equation

Abstract: Underlying principles of the monotonous high-order shock-capturing schemes are discussed. The schemes are systematized and compared on the basis of the Cauchy problem for onedimensional linear convection equation.
