Abstract:
3-D supersonic viscous flow past a blunt body flying through the cloud of hot gas (thermal) is investigated. The cloud of hot gas is suggested to emerge as a result of powerful explosion in Earth's atmosphere. Consideration is given to the stage of vortex loop formation. As a whole the problem is unsteady. But the blunt body flow problem can be investigated in quasi-steady approximation. Heat transfer and aerodynamic loads on a body flying through the thermal are determined.
