Abstract:
This article covers particular visualization topic related to interactive visualization of time-varying flow fields resulted from unsteady CFD simulations performed on high performance supercomputers. It offers brief introduction to modern widely used visualization software packages for large distributed data handling, briefly covers their functionality and usability while working with datasets that cannot be handled and visualized on a single PC. This article also briefly covers the utilization of parallel algorithms for massless particle tracing developed by the author in visualization system installed on top of computing cluster of Institute for Mathematical Modeling RAS and as à part of R&D work for mathematical simulation of the wave formation in aluminum electrolytic cell.
