Abstract: In this paper, we carry out the numerical investigations of the parameters of a plasmoid spreading in the rarefied ionosphere and the geomagnetic field. In the first part of the paper, the emphasis is on the modeling of the ionizational and temperature non-equilibrium, its dependence on the initial parameters of the plasma. We consider the early stage of the plasma deceleration because of the interaction with the geomagnetic field, which corresponds to the conditions of the large-scale plasmic experiments.
