Abstract:
Electrons scattering on neutral particles in partially ionized gases makes an important contribution to the transport coefficients. The method of accounting such scattering was developed. It provides good accuracy. Transport scattering cross-sections were taken from experimental data, described by spline approximations. Scattering integrals were calculated with prescribed error estimates. Transport coefficients were calculated with Chapman–Enskog method in the fifth approximation. Convergence of approximations has been good even in the case of pure argon, which is considered as the most difficult example.
