Abstract: The influence of rigidity and damping properties to the roll wave phase speed in the large-dimension shells, streamlined with fluid flow is under analysis. It is shown that the roll wave in the finite-length shell can exist only with the presence of damping. The estimations of phase speed with the variation of flexural rigidity are obtained.
