Abstract:
The mathematical model of magnetic reconnection in the vicinity of critical points is discussed in the frame of 3D magnetohydrodynamics. For initial magnetic configuration without external currents we have formulated the boundary initial problem which is solved numerically. We have considered the evolution of the magnetic field in the vicinity of the null point and null line in the driven magnetic reconnection regime. Some results of computational experiments characterizing the origin of difficult nonlinear structures have been done.
